Their green dip is so good and they seem to be the only ones making it. This dip is one of the things I miss the most about Texas. This should give you a solid idea of how awesome this dip is. So, imagine my delight when my friend Melanie told me she had the recipe! (I almost cried.) I didn't want to get my hopes up too high, but when you live in Oregon and you grew up on Tex-Mex..........

4 Avocados; pitted and mashed
16oz Light sour cream
1 can Rotel original
1tbsp Garlic powder
4oz can Green chili
2tsp Salt
1tsp Lemon juice
3oz Light cream cheese
2 Jalapeno peppers; diced
2 Tbsp Cilantro; chopped
In a food processor combine all ingredients and blend until smooth. Serve and enjoy.
- Mint Chocolate Chip Oreo Brownie Ice Cream Cake
- Blueberry Cinnamon Roll crumble
- Yum Yum bars (also known as Texas Gold)

YUM! CREAMY guacamole!!!
ReplyDeleteSounds delicious! A little whole milk might help thin it a bit.
ReplyDeleteThe last batch I added a tiny bit of water. It seemed to do the trick.
DeleteYUMMMMMY! One of the few things I miss from the midwest is TexMex. You just can't find the same stuff here! I loved going in and sitting down to fresh tortillas, queso, salsa, and chips! MISS IT.
ReplyDeleteCasa Del Matador has pretty good Tex-Mex. it's on 23rd.

DeleteI loved eating at the one in Longview, Texas. Cannot wait to try this.
ReplyDeleteThis looks so good. I think my husband would love it.
ReplyDeleteI hope so!
DeleteI'm wondering if this is similar to Green Sauce, which is used to top Tacos, Burritos, etc. I'd love it, but I'd have to delete the spicy peppers.
