Toro Bravo – a Tapas Restaurant in Portland, Oregon

toro bravoToro Bravo is one of the hottest restaurants in Portland, Oregon right now. There is always a wait to be seated, sometimes it is over an hour before you can be seated. Toro Bravo serves a variety of tapas including traditional Spanish tapas and Pacific Northwest tapas.
I loved their patatas bravas, but I tend to love all patatas bravas! The pork belly was good too. Pretty much everything we have ever had there is good.
The food comes out as soon as it is ready, so we ate a few tapas at a time, but we only ordered a few at a time. We were unsure how much to order. The waiters expect that you will order off and on while you dine.
The radicchio salad was ok. The waiter highly recommended it, so I thought it would be good, but it was bland. It did come with two pieces of toast that were tasty.

The restaurant is pretty dim inside and crowded. We were back in a tiny little corner, but it was private and cozy.Of course you can not tell from the picture that we are looking at a wall right in front of us!

We attended an event at Toro Bravo. They hosted a buffet and everything I tested was so good, the service was great and it was a wonderful atmosphere. I’d definitely recommend it.
