Have you had an Abuelo’s Platinum Margarita?
Abuelo's Platinum Margarita
Somehow I had totally missed this as a go-to drink at Abuelo’s. Maybe, because I am so focused on the food when I visit. Last summer a friend of mine ordered the Platinum Margarita, so I did too and it was so good! No wonder my ex-mother in law was always pounding these.
As you know, I check the Abuelo’s Facebook page on a regular basis hoping they will publish more recipes. Low and behold they did. This time it was their Platinum Margarita recipe. I think what really makes this drink stand out is the agavero orange liqueur. If you’ve been on the search for agavero orange liqueur recipes or more specifically an agavero orange margarita recipe, you are going to love this margarita!

Lemon-Berry Infused Margarita

Lemon Berry infused margarita

1 Bottle of Tequila (Blanco)

12 oz Blueberries

12 oz Raspberries

12 oz Blackberries

Step1-  Lightly score each individual berry and place it into the container you will be using to create the infusion.

Step2-  Pour the entire bottle of Morales tequila into the jar with the fruit.

Step3-  Let the infusion sit for at least 24 hours.  You will notice the color changing to a purple tint.  I have noticed that 72 hours makes the best flavor for the infusion.  Do not be afraid to open the infusion and stir it with a spoon and giving it a taste to see if it tastes like you want it to.  This will help to ensure that you have a high-quality product.

Step4-  After your infusion has reached its desired color and taste you can strain all the fruit out of the tequila and pour the tequila into the bottle you want to use for serving it.
