Turks and Caicos
Beaches Turks and Caicos

Beaches Turks and Caicos
Beaches Turks and Caicos is a sprawling resort as I am sure you can tell from the photo. The beach is beautiful, the food is great, and the teen club was fantastic. I barely saw my tween because he was constantly hanging out with other tweens and the teen club. The teen club seemed to have constant activities every day we were there. It includes water activities like paddleboarding, hobby cats, and water bikes. Be sure to eat at the jerk chicken shake while you are there, it’s so good! Here’s What You Need to Know Before Your Beaches Turks and Caicos Vacation.

Grand Velas Riviera Maya

Grand Velas Rivieria Maya
Grand Velas in Riviera Maya oozes luxury. They have every amenity you can think of, plus lots you would never think of! If you are traveling with a baby I think this is where you should go if you can afford it. I watch a staff member walk a baby around the buffet area in a stroller so that mom and dad could relax and enjoy their breakfast. To me, this spoke volumes about the resort. Not to mention multiple kid’s clubs, a teen club, multiple pools, and an incredible stretch of beach. Read our full review: Grand Velas Riviera Maya

Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya
A favorite all-inclusive resort for families is the lovely Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya in Mexico, about an hour from the Cancun airport. There are 2 distinct areas of the resort. One is adults only and the other set up for families with kids.
The rooms are super spacious and there are plenty of places to stash suitcases to keep them out of the way. Staff members constantly replenish your mini-fridge. If you really want the VIP treatment, ask the front desk to send up a kid-size robe or even a Fender guitar to play during your trip. One of our favorite things about the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya is that there are hammocks on the balconies! Perfect place to kick up your feet and enjoy a nap while the breeze keeps you nice and comfortable.
The restaurants at the Hard Rock Hotel Rivera Maya are pretty fabulous and totally kid-friendly. Kids will get a kick out of Zen, a teppanyaki restaurant where they cook the food in front of you (Benihana style) complete with a chef show. Oh, and they have a super tasty coffee bar where you can grab a quick breakfast before staking out a lounge chair by one of the many pools.
There’s a cool zero-entry kids pool with a play structure and a family pool with a swim-up bar. Plus, there’s a private beach that’s perfect for swimming or playing in the sand.
The resort is also home to the KIDZ Bop Experience, which is a really cool addition to their normal kid’s club programming. Children of all ages can transform into kid rock stars and sing their hearts out. They will even learn choreography and get to dress up in fun clothing!
If you like extreme sports, you can head to Woodward for their indoor trampoline park, skateboarding, indoor snowboarding, and obstacle course. (Often costs an additional fee.) They also have an awesome water park with water slides and water attractions for kids of all ages.

La Paz
Rancho Cacachilas
Rancho Cacahilas is a completely different type of all-inclusive. It’s an adventure camp experience, surrounded by nature, complete with activities, and the best private trails in Mexico. They have more than 60 kilometers of private routes through beautiful landscapes. Here you also have the chance to learn about their sustainable honey production and the circular economy of their cheese making. It is an extremely educational experience. On top of that, you also get to enjoy delicious organic food from the ranch to your table created by Chef Ivan Pimienta.
You can stay in a canvas tent or a family bunk room in a cabin if that’s more your speed. The tents are well equipped with solar power, vanity, hammock, patio table and chairs, and more. The bathrooms are communal and you will be taking a bucket shower. All of this makes for an immersive experience, to say the least.

Nickelodeon Resort Punta Cana

The Pineapple at Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana
For all the kids who love SpongeBob, the Nickelodeon Resort in Punta Cana is a must-visit! This all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic is one of the cutest all-inclusive resorts I’ve ever seen. One of the highlights of the resort is the swim-up suites. Most of the buildings at the resort are surrounded by a narrow pool. Rooms on the lower levels of these buildings can open their patio doors and hop into a pool straight from their room! Kids absolutely love it! For a real splurge, families can actually rent a private villa that is shaped like a pineapple, because what kid wouldn’t want to live in a pineapple under the sea?!
Another reason kids will love this resort is the water park. Located on the opposite side of the beach, the waterpark at Nickelodeon Punta Cana features a lazy river that adults and kids alike will enjoy cruising around while catching some sun. In the center of the river is a waterpark fort complete with water spray toys and the all-famous splash bucket. And near the waterpark is also the kids club which features a ball pit with a slide and daily activities and snack times. You’ll also find character meet and greets, great for grabbing some cute photos. For children of the 80s, you can even buy a package to get slimed!
The resort also features eleven restaurants on-site, including two buffet options. One of our unique experiences at the resort was dining at Spacewalker, a restaurant that serves you your food from a pouch! While it’s certainly not gourmet, the experience will be the highlight for kids. And let’s not forget the beach. You can even rent a gorgeous cabana for the day and chill out while your kids have all the fun they want.

Club Med’s programs for babies through teens also offer a variety of water and land activities. Families can experience Club Med’s CREACTIVE by Cirque du Soleil, a creative playground inspired by the world-famous acrobatic shows.
Club Med Punta Cana also has a complimentary Baby Welcome service for children (ages 2 and below), which includes a diaper-changing mat, stroller, baby bath, and a pack ‘n’ play. You will need to request this service ahead of time.
And apart from the classic guest rooms in the resort, The Tiara luxury family suites have a separate bathroom and bedroom for children. The new Zen Oasis is an advanced adults-exclusive retreat in case you need a break from the kids.
If you’re looking for a safe and adventurous place to travel with your family, the Club Med Punta Cana is a good place to be.

Jamaica
Beaches Negril
Yes, another Beaches property because they are just that good. This one is much smaller than the one in Turks and Caicos but just as much fun and it’s located on the famous Seven-Mile Beach. Like its sister resort, it’s packed with loads of amenities including a water park, multiple pools, putt-putt, dance parties, a teen club, a kid’s club with a gaming lounge, great food, non-motorized water activities like hydro-bikes, and paddleboarding. For an additional cost, you can do snuba which is a cool experience. I liked the smaller resort because my kids were easier to find when they had run off to get ice cream or some other treat.

Franklyn D. Resort
The Franklyn D. Resort in Jamaica is a small family-friendly, beach-front resort with multiple open-air restaurants, pools, and the best of all: a Vacation Nanny for your kids.
FDR is located on the white sands of Runaway Bay beach on Jamaica’s North Coast in the Caribbean. While not in walking distance to much besides a golf course, there are plenty of on-site activities and entertainment for the whole family.
In addition to beach and snorkeling, guests can also enjoy the pools, fitness center, tennis courts, spa, beach volleyball, and bicycles at the resort. Childcare is available every day to give parents time to themselves.
Air-conditioned, kid-friendly guest suites include private terraces with ocean views, a kitchen, and a living room with an additional sofa bed. Dining at the resort is open-air, including Jamaican and American-style cuisines, an adults-only gourmet Italian restaurant, and bar.
Families love the staff, amenities, and big, clean suites at FDR, making this an ideal place to stay for a Caribbean family vacation.

Moon Palace Resort Jamaica
If you’re looking for an all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean that’s great for families, you have to check out the Moon Palace Resort Jamaica. Palace Resorts are popular with families in Mexico, but their Jamaica location is a real delight. It’s located in Ocho Rios, one of the most popular areas for things to do with kids in Jamaica. You’ll be near Mystic Mountain where you can bobsled or zipline down the mountain. You’re also near the famous Dunn’s River Falls, a popular cascading waterfall that you can hike up.
The Moon Palace Jamaica works well for families of all ages. One of my favorite features is its location. It’s located on the point of a cove and near the cruise port terminal. But its location feels very private and the beach feels private. The resort also has gated security access. There are three building towers with rooms, with tower 2 being my favorite. It is the tallest tower and rooms have balconies. One of the drawbacks is there will be longer elevator waits with the high occupancy and floors. Building 1 (aka Cabanas) is mostly for vacation owners and Building 3 or the north tower is closer to the kids’ clubs and family pool area but doesn’t have balconies.
Another reason the Moon Palace Jamaica is great for families is because of the pools and restaurants. There are four pools, including a family pool with a waterslide and an adults-only pool. They also have a FlowRider wave generator which is a big attraction for kids. And with eight restaurants on-site, kids and adults will all find a meal to keep them happy. I highly recommend families make a reservation at Momo, their Japanese hibachi restaurant.
The Moon Palace Jamaica is the perfect all-inclusive escape. You’ll enjoy all the activities on-site and you’ll be located near some of the best things to do in Ocho Rios.

Greece
Ikos Dassia, Corfu, Greece
Europe isn’t always the first destination that comes to mind when you think of all-inclusive resorts – especially not family-friendly luxury options. But the Ikos family of five-star resorts is changing that, especially on the Greek island of Corfu where a stay at stylish Ikos Dassia with kids is hard to beat.
Around half an hour from Corfu Town, the 26-acre resort is split into two halves – Sea and Sky, with 400+ rooms and suites divided between the two, as well as restaurants, pools, bars, and spa on each side, plus the kids’ club and other facilities in between.
And despite its size, it’s cleverly designed so nowhere is ever more than a short walk away (plus golf buggies running between the two) and guarantees that you won’t run out of things to do on-site before your trip’s up. To help you make the most of everything, the resort has its own app, so you can book up to three restaurants before you arrive, as well as the kids’ club.
No boring buffets here either; each half of the site has six a la carte restaurants, including beachside and authentic Greek and Corfiot, plus themed buffet meals, gelateria, and poolside snacks. As a bonus, the special ‘Dine Out’ plan lets you book into several local restaurants within your all-inclusive package.
Other special touches include the chance to take a Mini Cooper out for the day – the only expense is the fuel – and explore the island of Corfu, as well as a free shuttle bus into Corfu Town and free tickets to a choice of several attractions, such as the family-friendly Casa Parlante ‘living museum’.
Throw in the private beach, seven pools including a splash pool for younger kids (and two adults-only pools for some me-time) plus a play area and bikes to borrow and it’s fantastic for families. The kids’ club is included for ages four to 12 (there are creches for younger ones with a fee) or you can sign soccer-mad kids up to a special program as part of the stay.
Everything you might want on one site plenty of fun added extras to help you explore Corfu, enough luxury and style for the grown-ups, and loads of fun for the kids, along with fantastic food? The recipe for a fantastic all-inclusive family vacation.
