It seemed like most of the rooms have bathtubs which I know is important to Japanese and Chinese travelers. My favorite feature in the room was the clothing steamer that they filled with water so it was ready to be used as soon as I was ready. The Nespresso was also ready to go with water already in it which I appreciated. They offer two types of coffee in the room both sourced locally.

The main restaurant at the hotel is Salsipuedes. Their menu is inspired by six influences including Peruvian, indigenous, Panamanian, Mexican, Chinese street food, and Italian. The bartender here was recruited from Peru by the hotel manager and needless to say his Pisco Sour is next level. They also offer an interesting Aperol cocktail that is mixed with grapefruit juice and mezcal.

I found the food overall to be outstanding. I wasn’t expecting to have a true foodie experience during my visit but it ended up being one of the highlights of my trip. They’ve made food a high priority and it shows.

BBar at Bristol PanamaBBar is their brand new lobby bar named after the owner’s daughter Bee and is serving up some seriously delicious cocktails and Mediterranean tapas.

I highly recommend the Lady Light cocktail, it’s a grapefruit spritzer made with Aperol, grapefruit, and tonic water. My other recommendation would be Dante’s drink, named after one of one of Bee’s friends. This cocktail is made with Spanish wine, Campari, Vermouth, and American whiskey. For those that prefer something a bit sour try the Alba lychee link drink made with rose extract, gin, and lemon. I don’t like sour but even I had to admit it was a great cocktail.

For food, I recommend two things. First the brisket slider and second the burrata. Their burrata is unlike any others I have had because of the way they season it.

Room ServiceRoom service at Bristol Panama

The room service here is excellent. I had the steak and french fries, but the real standout was the quatro leches cake. It was beyond good. The cake is also available at their restaurant.

Bristol Panama Spa

I had a decadent treatment while I stayed here. It was a relaxation massage and a quick 15-minute facial. The women’s relaxation area overlooks the city with incredible views. After your treatment, you can enjoy a glass of champagne while soaking in the scenery. The feature photo is the photo I snapped doing just that!

Ceviche-making classCeviche Making Class at Bristol Panama

One of the activities offered at the hotel I found to be quite good was their ceviche-making class. Now I’ve made ceviche at this point 5 or 6 times at other resorts but their ceviche was a completely new experience. They use unusual ingredients like sweet potato puree. Weeks later I am still thinking about that sweet potato puree. They told me how to make it and I forgot!

Fitness Center and Lap Pool

They have a gym with treadmills, a row machine, elliptical machines, and more. There were free weights and a few weight machines. Just outside of the gym is a lap pool you can use as well.

The hotel boasts several facilities that cater to the needs of business travelers. The hotels have several meeting rooms that can accommodate different group sizes, from small to large. There is also a banquet hall with state-of-the-art audio/video equipment, perfect for conferences, exhibitions, or private events. The staff at Bristol Panama is also multilingual, ensuring that communication is never a barrier.

The staff at Bristol Panama is warm, welcoming, and efficient. The hotel is designed to provide you with a luxury experience, and the staff goes above and beyond to ensure that your stay is memorable. The staff is trained to provide you with the best possible service. Every guest is greeted with a welcome drink upon arrival. The housekeeping staff ensures that the rooms are spotlessly clean, and the restaurant staff provides you with personalized attention.

They also have a doctor on call 24 hours a day.

Get Travel Insurance

Unfortunately, there are a lot of things that can go wrong on any trip. Be prepared for the worst with travel insurance. We use Travelex or Safety Wing (often cheaper).

Book Flights

I use Skyscanner to find flights. I use it so much, I wrote an entire guide to finding cheap flights with Skyscanner!

Book a Place to Stay

I recommend using or for most hotel bookings. I prefer to book directly with Marriott when I stay there because of their excellent military discount.

If you prefer staying in a vacation rental instead, I recommend VRBO.

Rent Clothes

Rent clothes for your trip with Travel Style Expert for only $50 a month! The first 30 days are free!

Choose Activities and Tours

To find great activities in any area I use Get Your Guide and Viator. If we are visiting a city with lots of popular attractions I always check CityPass and GoCard to see if they have discount cards available. Groupon also tends to have a lot of local travel deals.

When I want to book a full-on multi-day tour I use TourRadar. They’ve got fantastic weekly deals. If I am going somewhere in Mexico or the Caribbean I use Apple Vacations.

Rent a Car or Take a Lyft

More often than not Lyft is cheaper than Uber. Use my Lyft link for an $18 credit! For a car rental in any country, I recommend Hertz or Discover Cars.

Save Money on Gas

Upside, a free app gets you cash back on gas! Use promo code RV2Q2 to get an extra 15¢/gal bonus on your first purchase.

Get a Visa

I use iVisa to get all of my Visas.
