Are you looking for country wedding ideas?
Great news! This post is full of ideas for a country wedding.
Last year my life long best friend, Lindsey, got married and she put together an absolutely beautiful wedding. We’ve been best friends since we were 11 years old. I was the maid of honor, Eden was the flower girl, Jonah was the ring bearer, and Noah was an usher.
She got married next to a barn and went with a country theme. She mixed sunflowers, burlap, and wood into all the wedding aspects and the results were amazing.
Almost everything you see the bride and her family made. It was a DIY wedding.
Country Wedding Photo Booth
To create a photo booth they tied up long strands of burlap and whatever else they had left and strung it up. Then they had a bunch of fun props for people to use. Here are my kids! In addition to having a wedding cake, she had for a S’mores bar too. A S’more’s bar is awesome and it’s easy to set up.
See the old doors in the background. I thought that was a fun decoration and a cool place for photos.
Country Wedding Signs
They created a ton of cool signs. Wood is cheap and you can usually get pallets for free!
Everyone sat on hay bales.
They did a thing in the ceremony where they poured the two kinds of sand into one jar and mixed it.
I loved the advice jar they set out.
Instead of a money dance, they had a money tree. Guests could clip money onto the tree.
The party favors were birdseed feeders that you could hang in your yard.
Country Wedding Cake
Burlap and sunflowers were incorporated throughout everything, including the cake.
I loved the cake topper that featured words taken from bible scriptures.
My friend loves sunflowers and created bouquets of sunflowers that they hung around the barn.
Loved it!
