This cream cheese apple cake is so simple, yet so satisfying. This is a yummy combination of cinnamon, apples, cream cheese, and pecans.
Cream Cheese Apple Cake Recipe

Ingredients:
Cake:
4 C crisp apples (cored, peeled, and chopped)
1 lemon (freshly squeezed)
1 ¾ C sugar
½ C sweet cream butter (room temp)
1-package (8 oz) cream cheese (room temp)
2 large eggs
1 Tbsp pure vanilla extract
1 ½ C all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
Topping:
⅓ C light brown sugar (packed)
3 tsp ground cinnamon
½ C chopped pecans
Directions:
Cake:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Prepare a 13 x 9 inch baking dish with nonstick baking spray.
In a small bowl combine the brown sugar and cinnamon together.
Whisk to incorporate.
Add in the chopped pecans.
Add freshly squeezed lemon juice over the chopped apples. Toss to cover all of the apples. With an electric mixer cream together the butter, sugar, cream cheese, and vanilla until incorporated and smooth.
Add eggs, continuing to mix until the mixture is creamy.
In a separate bowl add the flour, salt, and baking powder. Whisk to blend all of these ingredients together.
Slowly add the flour mixture to the wet mixture. Using the electric mixer to combine them together. Scoop the chopped apples in the bowl with the batter.
Use a rubber spatula to fold the apples into the batter.
Spoon the batter into the prepared baking dish.
Sprinkle the top of the cake batter with the brown sugar, cinnamon, and pecan topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 55-60 minutes. Check to make sure the cake is done by inserting a toothpick in the center of the cake. If the toothpick comes out clean the cake is done. If not
return the cake to the oven for an additional 5 minutes. Continue to recheck by inserting the toothpick in the center of the cake.
Remove from the oven and set aside to cool completely before serving.
