This Disney-themed nail design is inspired by Mickey Mouse. These Mickey Mouse nails are simple enough to do you can do it yourself at home! My daughter and I always do Disney-themed nails right before we go on our Disney vacation. It’s a super fun way to add excitement to the trip.
Disney Nail Tutorial – Mickey Mouse Nails
You will need:
- Red Fingernail Polish
- Black Fingernail Polish
- White Fingernail Polish
- Red and Silver Glitter Fingernail Polish
- Dotting Tool
Directions:
- Make sure fingernails are completely clean of old polish.
- Begin by painting your pointer finger black. Use 2-3 coats.
- Next, paint your middle finger red. 2-3 coats.
- Paint the rest of your nails using the red and silver polish. 3 coats or until desired coverage is met.
- Next, go back to your pointer finger and paint the tip red. Make sure you give yourself a wide enough tip to add some design work later on. Place 2-3 coats of red on the tip for the best coverage.
- While the pointer finger is drying, use your dotting tool to place random white dots on your middle finger.
- Lastly, use the dotting tool to make two white dots slightly spread apart from each other, but centered in the middle of the red strip.
- Finish by covering each nail in clear coat.

- Then paint your pinky finger and your thumb red.
- Next, go back to your pointer finger and paint the tip red. Make sure you give yourself a wide enough tip to add some design work later on. Place 2-3 coats of red on the tip for the best coverage. (If the red doesn’t show up well you will need to paint the tip white, let it dry, and then paint it red.
- While the pointer finger is drying, use your dotting tool to place random white dots on your pinky finger.
- You will use the dotting tool to create a Mickey Mouse head on your ring finger with white polish.
- Lastly, use the dotting tool to make two white dots slightly spread apart from each other but centered in the middle of the red strip on your pointer finger.
- Finish by covering each nail in clear coat.
