I do not travel anywhere without an external battery charger, because I never want to be somewhere amazing and not be able to at least take a photo with my phone.

The good news is these are cheap, well most of them, so you never have to have a dead battery again. All you need is an external charger. I got sick and tired of my battery dying so now my family has a whole assortment of external batteries. Here is a review of all the ones I’ve tried. I’m starting with my favorite HubMax by MyCharge.

HubMax by MyCharge, $79.99MyCharge Hubmax

HubMax has an iPhone & micro-USB cables built-in. The iPhone cable is a lightning cable, so your phone charges super fast. It also has self-contained wall prongs that make recharging easy, you just plug it into the wall. No extra cables are needed for any reason.

  • PORTABLE CHARGER WITH BUILT IN CABLES: The HubMax portable battery charger, devices plug directly into the power pack for 10050 mAh / 3.4A shared output and up to 6x cell phone battery backup
  • ALL-IN-ONE POWER BANK: The best portable phone charger for the backup needed to stay powered anytime, anywhere – the foldable wall plug functions as a wall charger adapter, and also recharges the powerbank simultaneously (Recharge = 4.6 hours)
  • SMALL SIZE, FAST CHARGE: An immense amount of power and travel safe convenience is contained in something no larger than a deck of cards – this slim external battery charger will charge your cell phone 3x faster than the original Apple iPhone charger cube
  • UNIVERSAL COMPATIBILITY: Give the gift of power and share a cord with family, friends, coworkers, or even a stranger! iPhone Charger Lightning Cable & USB Type C Cables are case compatible and work with most devices and a USB port for external connections

I used to have a long list of external batteries, but after using the HubMax I decided that it’s the only I recommend!
