Golden Nugget
The Golden Nugget hotel and casino is in downtown Las Vegas on Fremont Street. It has undergone a huge renovation and is now what I think is the best deal in Vegas. This is a picture of our room in the Carson Tower. As you can see the room is good, even though it’s in the oldest tower. It was $47 including taxes for the night. Sometimes it’s only $39 after tax.

The Golden Nugget pool in Las Vegas wraps around an aquarium full of sharks, sting rays, and fish. There is even a tube slide going through the middle of the aquarium. Your kids will find this amazing.
They even have a tube slide that goes through the shark tank! It’s a pretty fast slide, so you may not see anything. This is a picture of my son popping out of the tube slide after going through the shark tank!
You can buy a day pass to hang out at the Golden Nugget pool. The pool passes for non-hotel guests cost $25 Monday through Thursday and $35 Friday through Sunday. Kids under the age of 6 are free.
The pool features a 200,000 gallon shark tank aquarium, three-story complex, and 17 private cabanas. You can climb 30 feet in the air to go down a body slide through the tank into the pool. You go through the pool so fast that you can’t really see anything.
