When it comes to Disney resorts, the Grand Floridian is one of the most impressive. Located at Disney World in Orlando, Florida, this Victorian-style hotel is a little bit of luxury right in the middle of all the action. But is this resort really worth it? Let us break down what makes this iconic hotel so special for parents who are thinking about booking a stay.

For years I wanted to stay at the Grand Floridian. After going past it hundreds of times and hearing about it, I wanted to experience it for myself. We finally did and although it was great, it wasn’t as over the top as I had expected it to be.

Standard Disney Hotel RoomGrand Floridian

Room prices are typically well over $300 a night. The last time I looked them up they were running about $550 a night. Now for that kind of money, I was expecting a pretty spectacular room. So, you can imagine my surprise when it looked similar to the Boardwalk Resort rooms and the Yacht Club rooms. Our room had 2 Queen Beds and 1 Day Bed. The couch is a day bed, it easily folds down and makes into a bed. Here is a picture tour of our room. Like all Disney rooms, there is a fridge and microwave. This way you can bring snacks.
