Gruene, Texas Girls Trip

September 24–27, 2026
A weekend of tubing, two-stepping, and pretending we’re all still 29 but with better taste in wine in historic Gruene, Texas!

Thursday, September 24 — Arrival + Settle In

2 PM – Custom Hat Experience (Optional, cost varies)

• Design your own custom hat (this is your souvenir and your personality now for the trip!)

3:00 PM – Check-In & Welcome Drinks

• Arrive at your gorgeous house rental (pool + hot tub = immediate priorities)
• Pop something bubbly because we are not animals
• Everyone claims bedrooms like it’s the Hunger Games, jk.

5:30 PM – Pool Time + Catch-Up

• Relax and ease into the weekend
• Optional: hot tub gossip session (highly recommended)
• Or, start your shopping early! You could always arrive a few hours before check-in to shop too!

6 – 7 PM Line Dancing Lessons at Gruene Hall (Optional, cost is $12)

7:15 PM – Dinner (Optional)

• Gruene River Grill

Friday, September 25 — Shopping, Floating, Live Music

8:30 AM – Breakfast at Gruene Coffee Haus (Optional)

10:00 AM – Boutique Shopping Stroll (Optional)

Wander the historic district (it’s basically made for wandering and impulse purchases). Gruene is packed with locally owned shops, making it dangerously easy to “accidentally” redecorate your house. Some boutiques may be open by 9 AM. As the trip gets closer, I will update this.

• Stop into:
  • Gruene Historic District
  • Sundance Mercantile

12:00 PM – Lunch at the Iconic Spot (Optional)

• Gristmill River Restaurant & Bar
• Sit outside if possible (river views = main character energy)
• Expect classic Texas comfort food in a historic cotton gin setting

2:00 PM – Float the river (Included in fee)

• Float duration 2 – 3 hours.

5:00 – 7:00 PM – Friday Afternoon Club (optional)

• Head to Gruene Hall
• Live music + laid-back vibe
• This is a long-standing tradition with free music and a super relaxed crowd

7:30 PM – Dinner (Included in fee)

• Cooking class! Eat what you make (best kind of class, honestly)

9:00 PM – Optional Nightcap

• Back at the house or stroll back to Gruene for more live music
• Maybe we will find karaoke.

Saturday, September 26 — Wine + Boots Night

When you wake up – Coffee + Pastries (Provided by Meagan, obviously ☕)

10:30 PM – 5-Hour Wine Tour + Charcuterie Lunch (Tour, lunch, and tips included in fee)

• Individual charcuterie boxes (For those on the last trip, I promise, you get your own!)
• Transportation included (because we make good decisions)
• Stops at multiple Hill Country wineries

3:30 Free Time / Pool / Power Nap

• Another drink (no judgment)
• Nap
• Pool
• More shopping!

7: 30 Dinner (Optional)

• Cantina Del Rio

9:00 PM – Dancing Night at Gruene Hall (Optional)

• Back to Gruene Hall
• This place has been hosting live music since 1878 (yes, really)
• Expect:
  • Two-stepping
  • Live bands
  • Zero judgment

Dress code: Cowgirl boots + confidence

Sunday, September 27 — Slow Morning

10 AM Breakfast at The Bird House (Optional)

11 AM Checkout

• Thurday Night: Cute casual dress or stylish jeans & a fun top.
• Saturday Wine Tour: Flowy dress or chic outfit, comfy but stylish shoes.
• Dinner: Dressier chic outfit.
• Shopping: Comfy yet stylish (think athleisure or a sundress).
• Cooking Class: Casual but fun—something you don’t mind getting messy in.
• Swimsuit & Cover-Up: For pool & hot tub time. Plus, floating the river.
• Water shoes

• Light Jacket: Evenings could be cool.

• Hat (keep in mind you might make one here)

Cancellation policy:

A USD $600 deposit is required upon booking and is non-refundable. Any additional payments made are refundable up until July 1, 2026.

Final Payments:

Final payments are due no later than July 15, 2026. No refunds or cancellations are allowed past June 30, 2026. If the final payment is not paid by July 15, 2026, Mommy Travels retains the right to remove you from the trip. The deposit will not be refundable.

No-shows will be treated as cancellations and will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

We reserve the right to cancel the trip, and if we do, a full refund will be given.

Why Can’t I Get A Full Refund?

We understand that plans change, but the moment we decide to run a trip, costs are already incurred. Once you hit “book now”, we are paying deposits to hold your spot with our vendors + paying our team to manage bookings and make sure you have an incredible experience.
