These toasted Ham and Cheese sandwiches are quick and delicious. I have these every year at my family reunion. I always forget about them, but I’ve made them twice recently after having them again. Here’s how to make these hot and tasty Ham and Cheese Hawaiian Sliders.
Ham and Cheese Hawaiian Roll Sandwiches
1 pkg Hawaiian rolls
Thinly sliced ham
Sliced Swiss cheese
1 or 2 tsp Poppy seeds
1 or 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 or 3 tsp Dijon mustard
Saute the butter and onions until the onions are soft. Add Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and poppy seeds. You can choose how much to add based on your own personal tastes.
Sliced the entire package of Hawaiian rolls in half. I think this way is quicker and easier than separating each roll.
Pour 3/4 of the butter and onion mixture over the bottom of the bread. Place shaved ham and swiss cheese slices and then the bread top back on.
Pour the rest of the butter and onion mixture on top. Cover with foil and bake until the cheese is melted and the tops are toasty.
