I receive monetary compensation from General Mills in exchange of my endorsement of Box Tops For Education.
I’ve been participating in the Box Tops program since Noah was in kindergarten. This year he will be a senior which means I’ve been collecting Box Tops for 11 years! In a little over a month we will be full swing into the new school year. As we prepare for the back-to-school season, I’m stocking up on all our favorite General Mills products at Sam’s Club to earn bonus Box Tops for their schools!

What is the Box Tops for Education program?
General Mills wanted to create a program to support schools and the Box Tops Education Program was the creation. They began putting Box Tops Clips on many of their products. All of these clips are worth 0.10 cents.
Schools benefit from the Box Tops Education program?
Over the years my kids’ schools have been able to raise quite a bit of money by participating in the program. During the 2017 – 2018 school year my youngest son’s school was able to raise $792.10. Since our school started participating in the program they have earned $19,174.90. With the money they have been able to purchase big items like playground equipment and small items like iPads.
How our family collects Box Tops
I typically load up when I grocery shop aka I go to Sam’s Club and buy in bulk. With three hungry kids it saves me a ton of time to buy in bulk. Otherwise, I would be hitting the store every single week. As I unload my grocery items into the pantry, I clip off the Box Tops. Instead of waiting until the kids throwing away the package, I cut them all off at once. I place all of them into a small container and keep them in a drawer in the kitchen. Once the container is full I send them in with one of the kids.
That’s all I have to do, clip them out and send them in. It’s that easy.
What Products have Box Tops
There is a long list of products that have Box Tops printed on them. Some of our favorite products you can buy at Sam’s Club with Box Tops on them are:
- Bisquick Original Mix
- Pillsbury Toaster Strudel Variety Pack
- Honey Nut Cheerios
- Cinnamon Toast Crunch
- Lucky Charms
You might notice a theme here, my kids eat a lot of breakfast food!
Things to keep in mind
They do have expiration dates. Usually the expiration dates are so far out that I do not have to worry about them expiring before I send them into the school.
Bonus Box Tops. Sometimes an item will have up to eight Box Tops on one box. Obviously you want to buy the one with the most Box Tops on it! You can also download the BTFE app for even more bonus Box Tops!
Submit them in sets of 50. If you have the time and energy submit your Box Tops in sets of 50. I never really have the time to do this, but it’s helpful to the school when you do this.
So what are you waiting for? Head to Sam’s Club and load up on General Mills items and start collecting Box Tops for your kids school!
