La Petite Provence is a wonderful French bakery and cafe in Portland, Oregon with multiple locations. This restaurant has quickly become one of our favorite places to eat. In fact, this is the one spot we always want to take guests to when they are in town for a visit. This should be on your list of go-to places for breakfast the next time you are in Portland.

a fun coffee drink

They always have some sort of special coffee of the day. There isn’t a specific one that stands out to me in my mind. They’ve all been good, but it’s not really the coffee you come here for, it’s definitely the food.Petite Provence Division

La Petite’s Risotto cakes are outstanding. Chances are that you will be unable to find anything like them anywhere else in town. After trying a lot of items off their menu, this is now the only thing I ever order. They are that good!

Much to my surprise, they do have children’s meals for $4.95. For that price, your kid gets to pick out three items. They can choose from french toast, croissant, eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, Mickey Mouse pancake, and more. Nothing irritates me more than my kids ordering a $20 meal, so I have a high appreciation for a decent kid’s menu at a killer price.

The only thing I’ve ever ordered I didn’t enjoy at Petite Provence was the Monte Cristo, but I had never had one and the whole combination was just too weird for me. I ended up trying it, because so many people recommended it. Apparently, if you like Monte Cristos theirs are wonderful.

One of their many wonderful desserts.

They have a large variety of desserts here and I do recommend popping in just for dessert if for some reason you cannot make it for brunch.
They do have french onion soup and it is fantastic. I just keep forgetting to take a picture of it!

They have several Bloody Marys available. If you cannot decide which one you want, you can get a Bloody Mary flight.

They are open all day serving breakfast, lunch, happy hour, and dinner. The average breakfast plate is $9. My favorite thing so far is the Huevos Rancheros, but as of right now they have taken it off their menu. I am hoping enough people complain that they have to bring it back. (Okay, I’ve been back a ton of times. They are never adding this back. No matter how much I beg.)

As more and more breakfast spots pop up throughout the Portland area, La Petite continues to hold its own with consistently good food. And Petite Provence now has a restaurant in basically every part of the city, so you will always find one fairly nearby. La Petite Provence Portland, Oregon
