Lemon Cake Bars Recipe
- 2 box lemon cake mix
- 1 C unsalted sweet cream butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 2 – 14oz sweetened condensed milk
- 1 C fresh lemon juice
- 4 tbsp lemon zest
- 1 9×13 baking dish
Lemon icing ingredients:
- ½ C powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tbsp milk
Spray and line the 9×13 baking dish with parchment paper and pam baking spray.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Using a large bowl, Mix the cake mix, butter and eggs until a dough forms.
Press dough into the baking dish
Using a large bowl, whisk together the condensed milk, lemon juice, lemon zest
Pour over the base
Bake in the oven for 25 – 35 minutes or until set
Allow the bars to cool before cutting
Whisk the lemon icing ingredients together in a small bowl until combined
