Find out what to expect if you need to go to the Magic Kingdom First Aid Center. I sure wish I had known about this free service sooner!

img 9976Did you know that there is a First Aid Center at the Magic Kingdom? I have always known that there was a Magic Kingdom First aid center and have walked past it probably a hundred times, but I had never stopped in before for treatment. This is pretty good considering the number of times we have been to Disney World. I am not sure what I thought I would find inside the Magic Kingdom First Aid Center, but I was totally blown away by what I found.

Sunscreen in the Eyes

Jonah got sunscreen in one of his eyes quite badly and I just couldn’t get it out. I felt a little dumb taking him in there to get help for this, but the nurse took us seriously. He was an RN and he talked to us about sunscreen SPF. He informed us that you should never use a sunscreen with more than 30 SPF. Anything over that is ineffective and contains more chemicals than sunscreen that is 30 SPF. Who knew? I had no idea. He showed me what to do to get rid of the sunscreen problem and in less than 10 minutes we were back in the park and ready for some serious fun. All we had to do was wash his hands off really well with soap and then soap and rinse around his eyes three times.

Registered Nurse on Duty

I found out that during normal peak hours nurses are available. The center has over-the-counter medications, bandages, and other quick remedies to help you or your child so that you can begin enjoying your vacation again as soon as possible.

I typically carry band-aids and pain reliever in my Disney day pack, but it’s great to know that if I run out we can pop in here.

Where to Find the Magic Kingdom First Aid Center

The Magic Kingdom First Aid Center is in between Casey’s Corner and Crystal Palace. When you leave Main Street head to the left towards Adventureland. It is right next door to the Baby Care Center.

Other Medical Services at Disney World

I also found out that if you are staying on property (at a Disney World resort) and your child gets sick, you can call the front desk and they will send someone to attend to your child. This service is available 24 hours a day. I am unsure if there is a charge for this. But if your child needs to go to urgent care and you are staying on the property they will transport you to an urgent care for free.

There are First Aid Centers in every park, including both of their water parks.

  • Epcot: Inside the Odyssey Center, the building with restrooms between Test Track and the Mexico Pavilion
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Between Guest Services and Sid Cahuenga’s, near the entrance
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom: Behind the MyMagic+ Service Center in Discovery Island, near the bridge to Africa
  • Typhoon Lagoon: Just behind Leaning Palms
  • Blizzard Beach: Beside Lottawatta Lodge
