Rooms and Suites
I was ecstatic when I saw my room. Mokara Hotel & Spa San Antonio boasts 99 luxuriously furnished rooms and suites. Every room provides ample space for guests with high ceilings and high-quality bedding. The room décor is warm and inviting, and it includes many modern conveniences, including a flat-screen television, mini-fridge fully stocked, and a Keurig coffee system.
The marble bathrooms are spacious with a separate shower and an oversized jetted tub. They provide bath salts for your bath. On request, guests can receive indulgent turndown service that includes a variety of fine chocolates.
The room I stayed in had a small patio I could sit out on and overlook the riverwalk. I thought the view was great. Here’s the view from my room.
Services and Amenities
Guests have access to a wide range of services and amenities to make their stay comfortable and pleasurable.
The hotel offers an outdoor rooftop pool, a fitness center, and a well-equipped spa. I enjoyed both immensely. The views from the pool are great and there’s a little cafe there so you can order food and cocktails poolside.
The hotel’s spa is a true gem. There, guests can experience the ultimate in relaxation with its private couple’s suite, steam room, and Jacuzzi. A highlight of the spa is its massage offerings, like the hot stone massage, which will leave you feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. I had one and it was beyond wonderful.
Mokara Hotel & Spa San Antonio offers a great culinary experience, with its restaurants featuring locally-sourced ingredients and traditional San Antonio flavors. Ostra is beyond delicious. If you love seafood, then you won’t be able to resist their mouthwatering menu options. From fresh oysters to lobster, everything is caught and cooked to perfection. And don’t even get me started on the ambiance. It’s the perfect combination of upscale and cozy, making it a great spot for a fancy date night or a casual dinner with friends.
They also have room service! I highly recommend the charcuterie with a nice bottle of wine. There’s a bottle our Daou wine in the minibar!
Mokara Hotel & Spa San Antonio is located right on the San Antonio Riverwalk, a strip of shops, restaurants, and bars popular with both locals and tourists. From here, guests can quickly reach many of the city’s top attractions. The famous Alamo is just a short walk away. Guests are also near La Villita, a historic arts village, and the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. I had to walk over to the convention center every day and it took about 15 minutes.
Overall, Mokara Hotel & Spa San Antonio offers a luxury experience with a unique blend of modern features and historic charm. In addition, it’s an ideal base for exploring the city’s rich history and vibrant culture.
