Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort and Spa is a kid friendly hotel near Palm Springs, California with something for everyone. Moms will love the spa, dad will love the golf course, and kids will love the lazy river.
Omni Rancho Las Palmas: Reasons To Visit With Family
The kids and I found ourselves staying here at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas a few weeks ago in one of their regular rooms after they offered to host us. We were in LA for my friend’s wedding and afterwards decided what the heck lets go check out the desert! Palm Springs is about a two hour drive from LAX, but this is completely dependent on traffic. It took us two hours to get there, but two and a half to get back. We had planned on doing a variety of activities in the area, but the hotel was so great we ended up spending almost all of our time at just the hotel.
Omni Rancho Las Palmas Knows The Perks Moms Need
As mentioned before we were in one of their regular rooms. It had two queen beds, a desk, and a chair. Mostly importantly, it had a Keurig! And most importantly for Noah the room had a massive tv and he was able to hook up his gaming system no problem. He is a PS4 gamer and you can check out his videos at http://youtube.com/ShamBam. If we had needed to there would have been plenty of room to blow up an air mattress. Our room also had a great patio. It was so nice to sit out there and catch the sunrise even though it was already over 80 degrees when we woke up. Our patio overlooked a pond and the golf course that runs through the property. I do not golf much, so I do not know much about golf courses, but it looked like a nice course.
This is the view we enjoyed from our patio each morning.
Omni Rancho Las Palmas Offers Perks Indoors & Outdoors
Our favorite part of staying here was the lazy river and pool. (Maybe because it was 114 degrees outside?) My kids spent hours upon hours floating around in the lazy river. I enjoyed it was well, but preferred sitting poolside with a pina colada. Most of the day they offer food and beverage service around the pool area. The menu has a variety of options including kids meals. I can honestly say this was the perfect way to decompress after a long school year. I highly appreciate the art of doing something, yet doing nothing at all. The pool was a little crowded on the weekend, but it thinned out quite a bit during the week. I recommend trying to go during the week if possible during busy times.
Omni Rancho Las Palmas Has An Incredible Spa
The Rancho Las Palmas Spa is found here near the lobby. It’s a huge space with separate facilities for men and women. The women’s locker room had a hot tub and sauna. It was a hundred degrees outside so I decided to skip those. They also have a private pool, separate from the rest of the resort. Now of course I had to pay a visit to the spa. I’m a single mom and I thought I deserved a treat! I had the Deep Canyon Therapeutic massage and it was phenomenal. Here is their description of the massage:
For a deeper, healing massage, moderate to firm pressure is applied to target the deeper layers of muscle tissue. This treatment will release tightened muscles, making them more pliable, and promote detoxification of the body’s impurities.
I get a massage once a month and this was easily one of the best I’ve had. I loved the fact that aromatherapy was included for no additional cost.
