Are you looking for a boozy, chocolaty treat? Look no further than this over the top Reese’s milkshake cocktail. It’s a bunch of yummy things wrapped into one ice cream, chocolate, dessert liquor, and peanut butter!
Over the years I’ve made my kids a lot of milkshakes, but never for myself. Well, I finally decided to make a mama milkshake aka a milkshake with my favorite candy and booze! I mean, who doesn’t appreciate boozy milkshakes?
My two favorite types of candy are Reeses and Snickers. You may recall I created a Snickers Milkshake a few years ago, which I may or may not have also added liquor too. This time I decided to use my other favorite candy, Reese’s and it turned out better than I ever could have imagined! Granted, anything made with ice cream, chocolate, dessert liquor, and peanut butter is destined to be good. Here’s the ingredients and directions to make this Reese’s Milkshake Cocktail.
Reese’s Milkshake Cocktail Recipe
Ingredients:
1 oz Kahlua (coffee liqueur)
1 oz Frangelico (hazelnut liqueur)
1/2 oz Godiva Liquor
3 oz of heavy whipping cream
1 cup Peanut butter and chocolate ice cream
1/2 cup ice
chocolate syrup for garnish
Reese’s mini pieces for garnish
Reeses peanut butter cups for garnish
Chocolate Icing for rimming the glass
Hershey’s chocolate bars for garnish
2 tbsp. peanut butter for garnish
Cocktail Directions:
Decorating the glass
Frost about 1/4 of the top of the glass in chocolate frosting on the outer part of the glass
Alternating between the yellow, orange and brown colors of the Reese’s pieces, place the Reese’s pieces onto the glass
Drizzle the chocolate syrup onto the inside of the glass and place into the freezer for 10 minutes while you make the shake
Add the ingredients of the milkshake, Kahlua, Frangelico, Godiva Liqueur, heavy whipping cream, peanut butter and chocolate ice cream and ice into a blender.
Blend on high until smooth
Pour into the milkshake glass
Place the Hershey chocolate bar into the back of the milkshake
Using a wooden skewer, pierce two Reese’s peanut butter cups onto the skewer
Pipe whipped cream onto the center of milkshake
Place the Reese’s peanut butter cups into the milkshake
Drizzle the chocolate sauce and peanut butter onto the shake and enjoy!
Of course you can easily make a non-alcoholic version for the kids or if you are a non-drinker. Just leave out the booze! Replace the booze with whole milk.
