In this article, we will outline a 2-day itinerary that allows you to experience the best of the island while making sure you soak up quality time together for a memorable and super romantic vacation!

Let’s jump into your Paros, Greece itinerary

Romantic 2-Day Paros ItineraryParos

It’s important to note that this Paros 2-day itinerary assumes you are staying in Naousa for your 2 days. You could also stay in the main city of Parikia. However, it is not nearly as romantic and they are so close together that Naousa is a much better choice for a romantic getaway.

Day 1 – Explore Parikia + Beach Time + Winery Visit + Naousa Nightlife

Your morning starts with breakfast at the adorable Cafe Symposium in Parikia. This cafe has a beautiful white terrace lined with flowers and is an adorable little side street that makes it perfect for couples to start the day together. The crepes are the popular item here but everything is great!

You’ll want to spend the rest of the morning getting lost in the streets or Parikia and seeing some of the top sights:

  • The Holy Church of the Virgin Mary Ekatontapyliani, also called the “Church of 100 doors” is one of the oldest and most important Christian relics in all of Greece. Even if you have no religious affiliation, it’s a beautiful must-see in the city center.
  • Frankish Castle: a 13th-century castle that was built with marble from ancient Greek temple
  • Church of Agios Konstantinos: The dome of this church is the highest point in Parikia, so you get some pretty amazing views!

Make sure you check out Old Market Street for a maze of cute shops and boutiques. It’s the perfect place to stroll hand in hand and maybe even sneak into a laneway to steal a sneaky kiss!

If you’re already feeling the heat, make sure to grab a thick and creamy gelato at Vanilla Gelateria! You could even share a cup if you just need a little something sweet.

Afternoon Paros

After all that wandering, it’s time to visit the beach – one of the best things to do in Paros, Greece! Hop in your car or on your ATV and head back near Naousa to Santa Maria Beach!

If you don’t have your beach towel, you can rent chairs. The chair rental is a little pricey, but it’s worth it because this is one of the most beautiful beaches in Paros!

EveningParos Winery

Now you are going to visit an absolute hidden gem: the Katikia winery. This winery is up in the hills and is owned by only one man who does everything himself from the winemaking to growing the food that he serves during the wine tasting.

The owner makes the most delicious bread loaded with fresh Greek olives and tomatoes accompanied by delicious Greek olive oil and many other products fresh from his farm. If you’re lucky there may even be kittens running around. The owner usually will whip out his guitar-like instrument and play music for you as well.

You should be warned that the wine is not the BEST you will ever have but the experience? It’s unforgettable.

The winery has no website, so it’s best to call in advance to schedule a tasting.

Once the sun sets and the wine has been finished, head back to Naousa for dinner at a traditional Greek Taverna.

Here are some of our recommendations:

Afterward, you have the option of getting into the nightlife or holing up together in a wine bar and sipping the night away. If you choose option 1, just follow the music and you’ll find plenty of fun to do into the evening.

For a wine bar, visit Koukos for an awesome Greek wine flight!

Day 2 – Naoussa, Beach Time, Lefkes, Happy Hour & Sunset Paros

You’ll want to try to get up early because you have a lot to do today!

Start with breakfast with a view at Kiranaos Cafe. Like yesterday, the crepes are a star but you also have incredible pancakes or eggs. Or, get both and share!

The rest of the morning can be spent wandering the absolutely beautiful little alleys and streets of Naoussa. Around every white-washed corner, you’ll find flowers blooming – perfect for a selfie to remember your getaway!

Make sure you visit some of the highlights of the city:

  • The harbor: one of the best views on the island with small houses and fishing boats dotting the sea.
  • The Venetian Castle – An abandoned fortress that used to protect the island from pirates.

Don’t spend too long here because you have to fit some beach time in! Jump in your car or ATV and ride over to Kolymbithres Beach. You can also jump on a short ferry ride from Naoussa if you prefer that!

This is one of the most iconic beaches for its crazy rock formations! It also has incredible views of Naoussa! The water here is beautiful and crystal-clear but the beach does get very busy and there is not much natural shade going on. You can rent umbrellas and chairs if you decide to stay awhile!

Alternatively, if seeing the rock formations isn’t your thing and you want something quieter, you could spend some time at Molos Beach or Golden Beach instead. They are both on the other side of Paros but everything is close on the tiny island – only around 20 minutes drive. Grab your road trip questions for couples to kill some of the driving time!Paros

Once you’ve got some sun, it’s time to move onto the beautiful mountain town in the middle of the island, Lefkes. Lefkes was once the capital of Paros and is charming and romantic around every turn!

It’s pretty popular due to how cute it is but it’s worth seeing the beautiful homes with the beautiful bougainvillea and the amazing view of Naxos across the sea! You only need an hour or so to see the village so it’s time to move on.

It’s happy hour now so you have two options:

  1. For the beer couple: visit the 56 Isles Microbrewery for some craft beer.
  2. For the wine fans – visit Moraitis Winery OR Asteras Paros Winery for some wine tasting. Or, visit both if you have time! They are both equally amazing. Moraitis is right in Naoussa whereas Asteras Paros is a little outside, but still on the way back from Lefkes.

Before dinner, it’s time to see a beautiful Greek sunset for your last night on the island! The two best places to watch are:

  • Piperi Beach – if you want something more secluded
  • Naousa Port – if you want to grab something to eat and drink you can sit and watch the sunset.

Once the sun has set grab dinner at one of the recommendations from Day 1 and then cozy on up in a wine bar or cocktail bar for your last evening! Kosmos Cocktail bar is always on point!

Is 2 Days in Paros Enough?Paros

So, is 2 days in Paros enough? We say yes! 2 days in Paros is the perfect amount of time for a Romantic getaway that still allows you to see some of the best parts of this beautiful island. Of course, if you want to have more beach time or move at a more leisurely pace, you may want to consider extending your stay to 3 or 4 days!

How to Get Around Paros Greece

There are a few main ways to get around Paros to make this itinerary happen:

Public bus

While the public bus system is quite good and you can get anywhere on the island, you will be confined to the bus schedule. You won’t have the optimal flexibility to make the most of this itinerary and your time!

Car rental

This is one of the most popular options and allows for a lot of flexibility when traveling around the island. Just make sure you get your international driver’s permit before going to Greece! They may not ask for it but, technically, it’s illegal to drive without it.

ATV rental

This is by far the best way to get around Paros! It’s exhilarating to be able to boot around the island while feeling the sun on your skin. Not to mention, hanging onto each other while you drive around Greece is a romantic and memorable experience! If you don’t want to rent an ATV, a moped/scooter will also give you a similar experience.

Where to Stay in Paros For Couples

There are two main areas to stay in paros: Parikia and Naoussa.

Parikia is where you will likely arrive if you take the ferry from Athens or another island during your Greek island hopping trip. It is also the closest city to the airport if you decide to fly into the island. However, while it is a little bit cheaper to stay in Parikia, it is less beautiful and romantic.

A great hotel for couples in Parikia is Paros Agnanti Resort and Spa.

We recommend Naoussa, the most famous village on the island. It’s perfect for a quiet, romantic vacation but still has enough restaurants and bars to enjoy! It’s also only 20 minutes outside of Parikia by car/ATV, so you’re not going too far out of the way!

A great hotel for couples in Naousa is Hotel Senia.

No matter where you stay for your 2-day Paros itinerary, Paros is sure to be a memorable vacation to bring that lovin’ feeling! From the incredible beaches and food to the stunning, white-washed villages, Paros is one of the smaller Greek islands with so much charming character that you just cannot miss!

Get Travel Insurance

Unfortunately, there are a lot of things that can go wrong on any trip. Be prepared for the worst with travel insurance. We use Travelex or Safety Wing (often cheaper).

Book Flights

I use Skyscanner to find flights. I use it so much, I wrote an entire guide to finding cheap flights with Skyscanner!

Book a Place to Stay

I recommend using Expedia.com or Hotels.com for most hotel bookings. I prefer to book directly with Marriott when I stay there because of their excellent military discount.

If you prefer staying in a vacation rental instead, I recommend VRBO. If you are looking for a hostel, I use HostelWorld.

Rent Clothes

Rent clothes for your trip with Travel Style Expert for only $50 a month! The first 30 days are free!

Choose Activities and Tours

To find great activities in any area I use Viator. If we are visiting a city with lots of popular attractions I always check CityPass and GoCard to see if they have discount cards available. Groupon also tends to have a lot of local travel deals.

When I want to book a full-on multi-day tour I use TourRadar. They’ve got fantastic weekly deals. If I am going somewhere in Mexico or the Caribbean I use Apple Vacations.

Rent a Car or Take a Lyft

More often than not Lyft is cheaper than Uber. Use my Lyft link for an $18 credit! For a car rental in any country, I recommend Hertz or Discover Cars.
