Romantic Places to Stay in Las Vegas for Couples
Set the mood right away by booking a nice place to stay during your trip.
The Cosmopolitan is the perfect place to stay to spark some romance. Book a suite overlooking the Bellagio Fountain. It’s quite enjoyable to sit out on your balcony watching the water show. They have multiple pools including the rooftop Boulevard pool with great views of the Las Vegas Strip. They also have an on-site Rent the Runway boutique where you can rent a sexy little dress for a fun night out.
The rooms at the Venetian are quite decadent with a large king bed and a living room. On-site are lots of yummy restaurants and tons of shopping. For those ready to soak up some sun there is a plethora of pools.
Romantic Things to do in Las Vegas
There is an abundance of Las Vegas attractions, but in this article, we are going to focus on those that are more sentimental. Instead of suggesting the typical things everyone always talks about like a roller coaster, Madame Tussauds, or the Neon Museum we are focusing on romantic things to do in Vegas for couples. We have dedicated articles for the more standard stuff you can read like Free Things to do in Vegas or 17 Activities in Las Vegas.
Hot Air Balloon Ride
Indulge in a hot air balloon ride over the desert. Do it out towards Red Rock Canyon or up north towards the Valley of Fire. A hot air balloon ride will cost you around $299 per person. Most include a champagne toast so make sure they include it in yours.
Take time to visit one of Las Vegas’s most luxurious spas and enjoy quality time getting a couples massage or some other treatment. We recommend the Waldorf Astoria Spa & Salon (formerly the Mandarin Oriental). It is a 27,000-sq-ft oasis dedicated to total wellbeing. It has a Hammam, a tranquil steam room with beautiful mosaic tiles and glistening lights, vitality pools, ice fountains, and Experience Shower Journeys. The calming, heated Laconium Room, complete with contoured bench seating and breathtaking views of the Las Vegas Strip.
The Grand Canyon is too far away to visit, but you can take a helicopter ride out there. It’s a scenic and unique experience. Try to book one that also goes over Lake Mead so you can see the Hoover Dam.
See a Show
You can not visit Vegas and not see a show. The comedy shows are great but we recommend a Cirque du Soleil show where you can see amazing acrobatics.
Enjoy a two-hour horseback ride through Red Rock Canyon. This is a great way to see the Red Rocks.
See all of Las Vegas from one of the world’s tallest Ferris wheel pods. Not only can you see all the neon lights of Las Vegas but you will be able to see way out into the desert as well. For spectacular views, this is a must-do-activity. If you really want to splurge you can rent an entire cabin and have your own bartender on board.
Venetian Gondola Ride
Gliding through Las Vegas in style! A romantic gondola ride at the Venetian in Las Vegas is one of the most popular and iconic attractions available in lively Las Vegas. It is an interactive, mesmerizing, and enchanting ride down the Grand Canal, where romance is met at every corner. Let the sweet songs of Italy guide you through the experience, and cheers to a vacation like no other.
This is a particularly endearing spot for any couple in Las Vegas. Not only is the ambiance of love already set by the authentic Italian scenery, but what better way to express love than through song? Here romance isn’t just shown, it’s expressed. In the quiet calm of an outdoor gondola ride, or the thrilling tales of an indoor cruise. You’ll drift by charming balconies, lively cafes, and intricate bridges— making this the honeymoon you’ve dreamt about.
The Gondola Ride at the Venetian has a variety of different options and prices. For a regular gondola (that seats four people), it is $29.00 per person. And for a private gondola (for two), the price is set at $116 together. For the shortest waits, be sure to get there early! The ticket booth opens at 9:30 a.m. for the indoor gondola that winds through the Grand Canal Shoppes, and 10:00 a.m. for the outdoor option. The indoor ride runs from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. from Sunday-Thursday, and till midnight on Friday and Saturday.
The outdoor gondola runs from 11:00 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. If you can’t make it till later, be sure to get there at least 15 minutes before closing! That is when the last boats are sent on their journey through the Venetian. As always, be sure to check on any weather and/or extenuating circumstances that may cause this to change. The most important travel tip here is to enjoy the ride! Live in the moment, soak it all in, and let the vivacious Venetian do the rest!
Downtown Las Vegas has gotten better and better over the last decade. What was once run down is now full of quaint bars and some interesting experiences. They almost always have free live music.
