Homemade salsa verde might seem like something that is hard to make but it’s pretty simple. Salsa verde is a savory appetizer with chips but it is also a great compliment to meat and other dishes like Mexican Lasagna or Carnitas.

Salsa Verde Recipe

Ingredients:

10 – 12 medium to large tomatillos

2 jalapeños (3 or more depending on how much spice you like.)

1/2 an onion

1/2 cup cilantro

1 tsp cumin

1/2 tsp pepper

1 TBSP chicken seasoning

Peel the husk off the tomatillos and wash thoroughly.

Boil the tomatillos, jalapeños with stems removed, and onion until soft.

Once the tomatillos, jalapeños, and onion are soft, remove them from the water and put them into a blender.

Add cilantro, cumin, pepper, and chicken seasoning and blend well.

Salt and pepper to taste.
