Salsa and Guacamole recipeThere are few things better than fresh salsa and guacamole in my opinion. It’s just never the same when you buy it pre made at the store. With Super Bowl Sunday just days away I thought this would be the perfect time to share my salsa recipe and my guacamole recipe.

Speaking of the Super Bowl. I will share my feelings about it, just in case you were wondering. Yes, I am totally bitter that the Packers beat the Cowboys. For the first time in probably my entire life I do not plan on watching the game. It should have been the Cowboys. I sure hope it’s them next year. At least I didn’t get the preemptive tattoo like that one fan.

This salsa is chunkier than the other homemade salsa I make, but if you wanted to you could just throw everything in a food processor and make it runny. To make the guacamole you will first make this salsa and then just mixed it into diced/mashed avocados. I mean why make one when you could just make both.

1/2 tsp salt

Guacamole Directions:

In a small bowl mash-up the avocados. Add in salsa and mix well. And that’s it!

*Remember if you have leftover guacamole to squeeze extra lime juice on top of it to prevent it from browning. Or you can cover it with water. Then when you want to resume eating it you just pout the water off. My preferred method is the water one, but we usually do not have leftovers.
