Summer Bay Resort has oversized 3 bedroom houses with a 1 car garage and private pools for families to stay in when they are in Orlando, Florida.
We absolutely loved staying here when we were in Orlando a few years ago. It was great to have so much room and spread out. Each of my kids had their own beds! I love anywhere I do not have to share a bedroom with my kids, but they do not have to share either – BONUS!
The houses at Summer Bay Resort are large. I think you could easily have two families share a house. I tried to book one of these this year for our family, but couldn’t get one through our timeshare exchange company.
Our house had a nice view of the lake there on the property and was close to two of the resort pools. We did not use these pools though, because our house came with an enclosed private pool.

You can rent these houses or get through time share exchange. We did a timeshare exchange through RCI to stay here and it took about 80,000 points for a 4 night stay and an exchange fee of $99.
This resort had numerous amenities including a splash pad, playgrounds, pools, and more. We did not have time to spend at any of these or I would have pictures.
This is the second bedroom with a massive bathtub and its very own bathroom.

How far is the Resort from Orlando International Airport?
The Orlando International Airport is 28 miles away from Summer Bay Orlando. Based on Orlando traffic, the drive may take anywhere from 30-40 minutes.
I personally think the cheapest way to get here is by Uber or Lyft. I do not recommend getting a taxi. This will run you more than $60 and could be as much as $80. Instead, use Uber or Lyft. Use my Uber invite code, meagans343ue, and get a free ride up to $15. Use my Lyft invite for a $50 credit! Although there was a while the Orlando airport wouldn’t allow Uber and Lyft to pickup this is no longer the case.
How far is the Resort from area theme parks?
Summer Bay is located just 6 miles away from the Walt Disney World property. Animal Kingdom is 6 miles away, approximately 10-15 minutes. Magic Kingdom is 11 miles away, approximately 15-20 minutes.
Are there a complimentary scheduled shuttle?
Yes, they have a complimentary shuttle service to all Disney theme parks as well as Universal Studios. A detailed schedule is available in your welcome packet.
The shuttle will take you to other locations in Orlando like Sea World or Aquatica for a fee.
Is there a maximum number of vehicles allowed on property per reservation?
In order to accommodate parking for all registered owners and guests, one parking space for each bedroom that is reserved is offered. If you have a trailer, RV, or multiple vehicles, you have to contact the Front Desk and the Concierge team will accommodate you with parking for large vehicles or an extra parking pass.
