Once again, I found myself in Las Vegas for CES. I got to see lots of new tech and definitely had my favorites. Here are some of the tech products I saw that I liked the most.

11 New Technology Products at CES

Genican – Genican is a sensor that you attach to your garbage can. As you throw away items you can scan them and add them to your grocery list. I am not sure what it says about me that my favorite thing this year has to do with garbage! But, as a single mom that works full time I love anything that makes my life easier. You can currently pre-order one on their website.

Jyro Roll – A one-wheeled electric scooter that will be out in September of 2017. It costs $1200! I do not believe they are taking any orders at all yet, but you can sign up for more info when they get closer to bringing them to market. Here I am giving it a try. It was hard, but I did it! Update: Their company appears to have not made it.

Active5 – The Active5 is a tiny portable workout device that would be super easy to take with you when you are traveling. The app that comes with it coaches you through low impact, isometric-based workouts in as little as 5 minutes per day. They are currently taking pre-orders on their site for $99. Check out the arm workout I did at CES.

Jabra Elite Sport Wireless Earbuds – Waterproof design, 3-year warranty against sweat, in-ear precision heart rate monitor, and fitness analyzer. Plus, personalized in-ear audio coaching, race pace calculator, and recovery advice. 2 microphones in each earbud for better sounds during calls. Supposedly you can do gymnastics and these will stay in your ears. Now I am going to have to buy them and give them to my son to see if this is true. Noah’s a level 10 gymnast! Here he is flipping around.

Samsung Smart Home – Samsung SmartThings is a way to turn your home into a smart home with a Samsung SmartThings Hub. Next, connect compatible smart devices including lights, speakers, locks, thermostats, sensors, and more. These devices do not have to be Samsung. For example, I could connect my Honey Well thermostat to this. The two devices I was most interested in were the sensor that you could check on the app to see if you closed your garage door. The other was the electronic look. Say for instance that your kids forgot their house key and are locked out. They could just use the app on their phones and unlock the door, because you know they won’t forget their phones!

EZVIZ 5 PLUS Ultra HD 4K Video Wifi Sports Action Camera – This can record 4K video, the display is a touchscreen, it has a cold weather recording that allows you to capture HD video in temperatures as low as -4°F, in its case it is waterproof up to 131 feet, and the adaptable 1/4″ mount fits most action camera’s mounting brackets and accessories.

Bibelib Luggage Tracker – This one size fits all suitcase cover is also a luggage tracker. They have lots of different styles to choose from, which is fun. Basically, you register your cover and if your luggage gets lost, when an airline employee scans it you will be told where it is. This costs around $60. So, if that’s too much you could just throw a Tile Bluetooth Tracker into your suitcase and track it yourself.

PicoBrew – I am not that into home brewing, but I live in Portland so I am surrounded by people that would love the PicoBrew. It’s a home brewery, but you use packets with it. These packets help you make many of your favorite microbrews right at home. So, for only a whole lot of money, $800 you can make your favorite mircobrews at home. Be sure to use my affiliate link if you order! Also, I have no clue who that photobomber is in the picture, but it was nice of him to smile.

Philips DreamStation a new lightweight CPAP machine is perfect for traveling if you have sleep apnea. You can watch the video below to learn all about it. This is a lightweight CPAP machine and will take up hardly any space in your suitcase.
