I got the recipe at a Pampered Chef show I went to in Columbus, Mississippi at Columbus AFB way back in 2001. My ex-husband went to flight training there and my neighbor sold Pampered Chef. If you have seen some of my other recipes you know I love Tex-Mex food and I totally consider Touchdown Taco dip to be a Tex-Mex recipe! 15 years later I am still making this dip and everyone always loves it. This is one of the things my kids ask me to make the most and when Noah started learning to cook this is what he wanted to learn to make.
Touchdown Taco Dip Recipe
Touchdown Taco Dip Ingredients
1 can refried beans
1cup Sour Cream
1 block Cream Cheese
2 TBSP Taco Seasoning
1 cup Cojack Cheese
First spread the refried beans across the bottom of a baking dish. (I like to use stoneware. Specifically, I used this round deep dish stoneware.)
Next soften the block of cream cheese by microwaving for 30 seconds. Then mix in the sour cream and pressed garlic into the cream cheese. Once it is mixed up spread it across the refried beans.
Next top the cream cheese mixture with shredded cojack. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
Once the dip is done baking top with chopped tomatoes, green onions, cilantro and black olives.
