Vacation Village Parkway Resort is in Kissimmee, next to Orlando and extremely close to Disney World. It’s a great place for families to stay during their Disney vacation.
Vacation Village Parkway Resort Review
I booked it through our timeshare exchange company RCI but you can book it directly as well. This resort offers a shuttle service to the theme parks.
When I was booking there were a handful of properties available and despite the reviews being totally sporadic I decided to book this one. The pool looked great and some of the reviews were awesome. This tends to happen when part of the property is new and part of the property is old, which was the case with this resort.
The building we stayed in was brand new and happened to also have the nicest pool on the property. In fact, the pool and building we stayed in is the exact building and pool that is in the cover photo on RCI’s website.
We loved our stay here. The one bedroom we had was huge. It was plenty of room for our family of five. Pictured above is the living room. The couch folded out into a bed. I thought the mattress was awful, but for kids, it must have been okay since they didn’t complain.
The master bedroom was large too with a king-size bed and a jetted tub in it. The radio clock is able to charge an iPhone 4.
We basically did not use the kitchen, but you can see that it is large. There is also a stacked washer and dryer in there. It did not have an oven or stove. There was a two-burner hot plate. I did use it to boil some water and it worked fine. Other than that it seemed to be fully stocked, there’s a refrigerator with an icemaker, dishwasher, microwave convection oven, drip coffee maker, blender, and toaster.
I liked the large dining table even though it only had 4 chairs. The table on the patio only had 4 chairs as well.
No matter what time of room you book it will have individual living and dining rooms.
The bathroom had a huge shower in it. It was nice that the bathtub was in the master bedroom and the shower was in the bathroom because two kids could be getting cleaned up at the same time!
Then there was the pool! The swimming pool was fantastic! I loved the fact that it is zero entry. This makes things so much easier with young children and babies.

Should you attend their timeshare presentation?
I personally did not attend their presentation. I would never recommend sitting through a timeshare presentation and this is why. They promise gifts, which seem great, but they always talk to long. They keep going and going, well past the 90 minutes. Why waste your time doing this when you can be off enjoying yourself.
I searched around and found a video tour of a room like the one we stayed in. Here it is.
All in all, I’ve had more than my fair share of fun-filled and memorable stays at the Vacation Village Parkway Resort in Orlando, Florida. The convenient location, comfortable amenities, and top-notch customer service are high points that I would definitely emphasize to anyone considering booking a stay there.
Plus, let’s be real–if you’re in the proximity of the four major theme parks, why wouldn’t you take advantage of that? But if sitting around the resort or relaxing at the pool is more your speed (which it definitely happens to be mine), there’s always plenty to keep you occupied as well. It truly is the best of both worlds! So with that said, it doesn’t take much for me to tell you why Vacation Village Parkway Resort might just be my favorite place to stay in Orlando. So how about you—where is your favorite place to stay in Orlando?
