I stayed in the most adorable little vintage trailer a few weeks ago at the Vintage Trailer Resort in Dayton, Oregon down in the Willamette Valley. Dayton is halfway between Dundee, Oregon, and Historic Downtown McMinnville, Oregon.

I had planned this as a romantic anniversary getaway and it would have been so perfect for that, but sometimes plans just don’t work out. So, instead, I took my three kids and it worked out great for that too. So, there ya go. If you are wanting to hit up lots of Willamette Valley wineries this is a great place to stay.

The trailers include gourmet pour-over coffee from Caravan Coffee. I had to read the instructions a few times, but I finally figured it out and it was pretty good coffee. FYI – there is coffee in the office which would have been much faster!

Some of the larger trailers have an outdoor tub!

The resort had a heated pool and a hot tub. Kids are only allowed in the pool until 8 PM, but they didn’t enforce it when we were there.

Here is the refreshing outdoor pool. There’s also a cozy fireside area where you can make s’mores with some lounge seating that screams comfort.GREGOR HALENDA _ Fireside at The Vintages_1

The views were pretty great and I enjoyed the sunset.

Besides tons of wineries, McMinnville is nearby. Here you will find a great McMenamins, Hotel Oregon. We dined at their rooftop restaurant for lunch and the views were fab. The other restaurant we went to was Community Plate. It’s a good place to go for breakfast or brunch. McMinnville is also home to the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum and Wings and Waves water park. Each of these are super fun for families. Check current rates!
