After staying in tons of hotels throughout the Portland area, these are my favorites and the ones I consider to be the best places to stay, thanks to extensive public transportation from the Portland International airport into almost anywhere in the city.

We loved everything about the Porter Hotel when we stayed here. The beds were extremely comfortable, the robes were divine, and the indoor swimming pool and hot tub was lots of fun.

The Duniway has a rooftop lounge and indoor pool in downtown Portland. In the lobby, you will find the onsite restaurant Jackrabbit by Chef Chris Cosentino featuring lots of local ingredients.ses local products.

Kimpton RiverPlace hotel is one of the best hotels along the Willamette River, located at the south end of Tom McCall Waterfront Park. Many rooms feature panoramic views of the river.

The Heathman is a luxury hotel, and it is one of the closest hotels to the Portland Art Museum. Much of the downtown attractions are within easy walking distance of the hotel.
