Keller Fountain is a beautiful fountain in downtown Portland that people are allowed to play and relax in. Keller Fountain is super fun for kids..JPG)
Portland, Oregon has amazing fountains and the best part is almost all of the fountains are open to the public to play in for free.
Going forward I think every fountain the city of Portland adds will be set up so that kids can play in them. I saw online that the next handful they have played are all geared towards kids!
We make it a point to go play in a few of these every summer because they really are awesome and our kids always enjoy playing in them.
I think this fountain in a really unique part of Portland and I definitely recommend trying to work one of them into your Portland trip, especially if you are bringing your kids with you.
Keller Fountain
This one is Keller Fountain, right across the street from Keller Auditorium in downtown Portland, Oregon; and it is one of my favorite Portland fountains. My kids would definitely say that this is their favorite fountain in Portland. Some of the areas are deep enough to swim in and they can play under the waterfalls.
To get a solid idea about the fountain and what to expect when you visit, check out the pictures. You will see that there are some pretty substantial drop-offs, so be sure to talk to your children about safety before they get in. I do not let my kids climb on certain walls.
Also, I read online that many people were concerned about the water being dirty. I found that although there were a lot of people playing in it the water was fine. The fountain went through an update a while back and they recycle and clean the water.
Hey Pinterest People – I’m so happy that you’ve found my blog. This fountain is awesome and one of the coolest things I’ve ever done in Portland.
The second coolest thing we’ve done was a hike, swim, and cliff jump at Punchbowl Falls.
